Home-cooked Peranakan dishes to order for Self Pick-Up or Delivery

 

To all who have ordered and enjoyed my Peranakan dishes, I'd like to thank you most sincerely for your support. It has been interesting and satisfying to maintain the quality, taste, and timeliness of our delivery service. Except for one occasion during a heavy downpour when the food arrived 45minutes late due to the gigantic traffic jam, I was even then heartened by the recipient's comment that due to the way the food was packed, it was still warm and did not require re-heating. To assure me further, she even shared with me that the birthday cake she ordered arrived 3 hours late! Thank you all for all the encouraging responses so far.

Whilst taking my Christmas break, I've been thinking about what to do for the coming Chinese New Year period. But first, let me wish everyone compliments of the season. May God's Blessings be with you, protect, guard, and guide you to a safer and peaceful, and happy 2022.

As I mull over the type of dishes my family and I have had over the years for CNY, the thought most in mind is how and which to prepare and freeze for re-heating as and when needed. So to make life easier for you during this busy period, so that you can enjoy the festivities, I will be posting a list of about 10 dishes you can order, dishes like Ayam/spare ribs Buahkeluak, Ngoh Hiang, Teochew braised duck, Her Peoh Soup. It means though that I have to prepare early and set aside these weekends, 14/15/16 and 21/22/23 for deliveries for immediate consumption or for freezing.

You will also need to order by 9/10/11 January and I will not be able to entertain late orders. Please indicate in the remarks box if you are freezing or consuming right away, and I will prepare accordingly.

Some may prefer to buy my rempahs to cook yourself. These can be provided for Nonya Laksa ($15 for 15 bowls);  Mee Siam ($12 for 12 bowls); Beef Rendang $10 for 600grms beef) Orders can be taken up to 23/24 Jan. I will also be making Pineapple Tarts, both open and closed, for sale. Orders from now are welcome and will close on 15th Jan

Meanwhile, I've been having many requests for Beginners/Maids cooking classes and I will be starting them again, albeit with 5 pax maximum per class. I have a confirmed class for Thursday 13th Jan and have 2 slots left. I can consider other classes if there is interest.
